Back in February of 2011 both Allison and Sam where in Philadelphia, both in graduate school at UPenn (Allison in business school, Sam in residency – very different worlds) and both getting ready to leave Philly to return home to the West Coast (Allison to San Francisco, Sam to Vancouver). But before they both left they happen to be set-up on a blind date from a mutual friend 🙂 The rest is history!! These two love to travel, go outlet shopping, new food and dining places and lastly hanging out at home watching tv or movies together. They picked San Diego to host their big day because San Diego has everything they wanted… away from either of their homes/families. Warm, beach, water, sun… we’ve got it all!!! Thanks Sam and Allison for having ABM Photography being apart of your big day!

We love’d working at the Coronado Marriott! Here’s another review from someone else!
“Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa is certainly not the Hotel Coronado… but from what I’ve heard, that might actually be a good thing…
The room is spacious spacious spacious! Also, I’m guessing based on how the rooms look like on the outside, it seems every room has a BALCONY so you can enjoy San Diego’s world-renowned weather. Mine certainly had one and though it had a patio table and two chairs, it still had a lot of extra space.
TWO QUEEN BEDS in the room were good sized. Sometimes, a hotel would advertise “queen” but then as soon as you lie down, you realize it’s more like a full. Also, the furniture are not squished up against each other.
And even then… there was space enough for a SOFA COUCH.
The CLOSET was large.
Had at least 7 DIFFERENT MEALS at the hotel and they were all very good. Those old fear and dread when we hear the phrase “hotel food” can be tossed as they don’t apply here.
The GYM, though small, is pretty much complete. For your cardio, you really should just go outside, the view of the San Diego skyline is breathtaking.
Speaking of, this hotel is strategically situated to have an AWESOME VIEW of the San Diego Skyline. During a cocktail event on the private pier behind the hotel (directly across the bay from San Diego), I cannot get over how beautiful the view was, the weather, as well as the food!
They have FLAMINGOS at the front! Totally unnecessary but was cool.
The Marriott also has direct access to the path that partially runs along the perimeter of Balboa Island. Very good for a walk, run, bike, etc… This path will lead you directly to Ferry Landing with its shops and, as the name suggests, the ferry stop to San Diego.
The WIFI is flawless. The signal was always good even though I had 2 phones, and iPad and a laptop all connected. Also, I was not logged out until I checked out of the room. Wicked!
There’s a STARBUCKS at the lobby which is great.
There are a couple of swimming pools and it looks like it gets cleaned every morning.
HOUSEKEEPING was amazing. I don’t know if it’s a hotel-wide thing of I got really lucky with my lady. She was great.”
