Aimee and Ken met online through OKCupid, an app that uses an algorithm to assess your match percentage based on questions you answer. Aimee turned off the location filter and found that Ken was one of her highest matches worldwide – looks like it was true love! This two feel in love long distance style!! Ken was visiting Aimee in Toronto, but also planned a short trip to Niagara Falls, with a room that overlooked both the US and Canadian Falls. It had been raining the day of the proposal, but Ken convinced Aimee to go for a walk with him at dusk to see the Falls. No one was around due to the weather, so they were alone, just the two of them when he proposed. Ken got down on one knee, and Aimee said yes! When they returned to their hotel, Ken took Aimee to dinner at a restaurant at the top of the hotel that overlooked the Falls. After dinner, when they returned to their hotel room, it was decorated! Ken had made arrangements for the hotel staff to come in while they were at dinner. Aimee walked in to see rose petals lining the floor, tub, and in a heart shape on the bed. Wine was being chilled in a bucket, tea lights were scattered throughout the room and around a vase of fresh flowers. Ken also presented Aimee with a customized photo book that he’d made using pictures of their adventures, and on the last page of the book read, “Will you continue these adventures with me forever?” Ken put so much thought into his proposal! We love it! They like to travel together and experience new places, restaurants and activities. Aimee and Ken try to have a “fun day” each weekend, where they take turns picking the activity of the day. They also love curling up and streaming TV shows or movies together. Aimee and Ken are going to Kauai for their honeymoon. They chose Hawaii because they both enjoy visiting the islands, yet neither of them have been to Kauai before – they figured it would be something new they could both enjoy for the first time together.

We loved working at Admiral Baker here is what a bride thought!
“We had a wedding here this past weekend and as DJ and MC, we don’t always know what to expect going into it. Some people are helpful, some aren’t. Some are there to just do their job whereas others know this is a special day for the people attending.
Coming from LA/OC, we didn’t get a chance to scout the venue prior to wedding day. So we didn’t really have a good idea of what to expect. But this was a nice place, plenty of parking, friendly staff, good bartenders, and an overall nice venue.
Julio and his staff were on point. They definitely made things as easy for us as they could. As vendors, we don’t usually get this type of service but Julio made us feel like if we had any questions or anything, he was there for us. He wanted to have a smooth night as well and wanted to work with us to make that happen.
The venue was a nice ballroom but we felt a little bad for the overflow tables which were in an adjoined enclosed patio. If you are considering a wedding here, we wouldn’t suggest maxing out unless you don’t really care too much if some of your guests aren’t as involved in things like speeches and such.
Also by being at a golf course, it is secluded from the public. You won’t have too many issues if you want a private intimate setting. These are some small things brides and grooms might overlook, but its worth noting. Privacy, parking, service staff are important factors along with looks, location, and price.”
