It was Friday December 18th, 2020, midst of Covid 2nd stay-at-home orders. Jenn received a text from Daniel about what we wanted to have for dinner. We were craving pizza. Jenn asked if she should just pick up the pizzas on the way home from work but Daniel insisted he go pick them up but Jenn can place the order online. When Jenn came home from work, Daniel was already on his way to pick up the pizzas. When he arrived home, Daniel walked up the stairs and held FIVE boxes of pizza. Jenn was weirded out and asked if he picked up the right order since she knew what she ordered. Daniel strategically placed the boxes in order, the top being the first box he wanted Jenn to open. Daniel, of course insisted Jenn open the boxes first to start eating. The first box was opened and inside was a card. Jenn had no idea what was going on and asked what we were celebrating, Daniel said to open the card. Inside the card was a very thoughtful self written poem by Daniel summarizing our relationship and hopes to move into this next chapter. After Jenn finished the poem, she turns around and there Daniel was, on one knee, asking for Jenn’s hand in marriage. Jenn loved the surprise factor given there were no fancy dinners or extra attention given on that day.
