Alex and Zac’s proposal was a beautiful experience on the beach in Carlsbad! Zac had our best friends, Lizzie and Steven (who are also bridesmaid/bridesman), help setup the beach with blankets, pillows, charcuterie, champagne and tequila shots (our favorite) beforehand. At the time, they lived a block from the beach in Carlsbad Village so they would often walk to happy hour/dinner and were very much creatures of habit as to the streets we walked to get there so Zac had a tall order of getting Alex down to the sand when she thought they were walking to dinner and drinks at sunset (and Alex was very hangry). Needless to say, Alex was totally surprised and cried. The proposal was followed up with a hotel room in the village that was setup with Alex’s favorite snacks, more drinks (we love to have a good time!), rose pedals, a bride robe and slippers, and towels in the shape of swans kissing – Zac pulled out all the stops! They don’t have plans as of yet for a honeymoon since they just bought a house!!!
