Justine and Patrick began a friendship while both working at Subway in 2012, they started a long distance relationship in September of 2013 after Patrick moved across the country and never missed a skype date… 242 skype sessions total. That’s so awesome!
Once Patrick had moved back to San Diego he decorated their first apartment together with red roses and Mr. & Mrs. signs and surprised Justine as she walked in the door from work. Patrick had attached the ring box to their Dachshund, Barney’s, collar and had Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” playing in the background. They went bowling afterwards where Justine kicked Patrick’s butt. What perfect way to celebrate a fabulous new beginning.

We loved working at Marina Village… here’s what someone else thought!
“The experience with Marina Village was incredible from start to finish! UCSD AMSA has an annual banquet at the end of every year, and we decided to go with the Nautical Room. This room was amazing! Very nice stage perfect for ceremonies, ample room for seating and dining, a bar area that works great as a drink serving station, and amiable access to the pier.
I cannot give enough praise to the staff. Overall, everyone at the Marina Village were very understanding, considerate, and professional throughout the entire process. The registration/office staff was accommodating while we were arranging the layout of the room. They were very patient when someone from the entertainment crew we hired was rude to us and the manager, and were very considerate of our situation because of that.
The set up and maintenance crew was also incredible when it came to prepping the room the day of and accommodating our requests to do some last minute changes to the layout of the room. The janitorial staff was also very generous and helped us out with cleaning up after the event.
Overall, UCSD AMSA and I had a wonderful banquet thanks to everyone at the Marina Village! We will definitely be coming back next year for another unforgettable banquet!”
