Aurelia and Mark are some of the kindest people we know! We had such a great time being apart of their beautiful day at Marina Village. If you’re looking for a beautiful waterfront setting for your special day, Marina Village is it. We also lucked out with amazing weather in sunny San Diego. Aurelia and Mark had a really fun reception… They had a dancing instructor come and teach all their guest some killer dance moves. What a fun idea!!

We loved working at Marina Village, here’s what someone else thought!!
“Marina Village was so very awesome to work with. We had a bridal shower here for about 40 people in the Nautical room. Thankfully they repainted it from the photos you see online. 40 people is just a bit too much to have at a house so I went hunting for a nice relaxed space for us. This was it!
First off, their website pretty much answers everything, cost, policies, rules, rooms etc. so energy isn’t wasted trying to find everything out by phone calls and emails.
Second, they are the most relaxed place I looked into when it comes to alcohol. You don’t need a liquor license or anything as long as you are not selling alcohol. We wanted to have a fun time but its a bridal shower, we weren’t trying to get crazy so this was perfect because we had full freedom to bring any food or drinks we wanted.
The price was pretty great too for what we got, we really loved the Nautical room for our event, there is already a bar with space in the back to store things and a “dance floor” which we used for food. This place was just affordable, especially because we had it on a Friday and if you are really flexible and on a budget book Sunday. Tables and chairs are complementary so linens are extra cost or you have the freedom to rent from any vendor (what we did).
Everything was easy here. 5 hours of event time is included in the price, then you have the option to book up to 2 more hours for extra. However, this time does not include setup or cleanup, you can come as early as 9am to begin setting up and stay as late as (I think)1200 am to clean up as long as the party time stays within the 5 hours. Parking was awesome.
Oh, and you can have pretty much any decorations you want, they don’t limit what you can do including, tape, staples, fresh flowers, whatever! There are lots of outlets but not necessarily all in one spot, so bring some extension cords and outlets if you have lots of stuff that needs to be plugged in.
The security and maintenance people on site were really nice and helpful.
I got my full security deposit back in just a few business days.”
