Agnes and Quati wanted a romantic spot with ocean views for their big day!! They fell in love with the lovely La Jolla Bridge Club. The La Jolla Cove Bridge Club, located within the Ellen Browning Scripps Park at the La Jolla Cove, was built in 1939, the Club facility once included a shuffleboard court, but that was removed and replaced by lawn, plants, flowers and trees in the mid-1990’s. It is now the site for the beautiful ceremony location. The best part for us at Agnes and Quati’s wedding was the amazing sunset over the Pacific. With the Bridge club so close to the ocean it was a perfect fit for the sunset shots. San Diego never disappoints for photos. Thanks Anges and Quati for having us be apart of your special day!!

We loved working at La Jolla Bridge Club… here’s what another person thought!!

“I just got married at the Bridge Club in May and could not have pictured a more perfect place! Tom who runs the club is very attentive and professional. He definitely made this a great experience. The price for renting the venue is unbeatable for what you get — an ocean front view with a large dance area and enough space for a ceremony and reception. There were a few downfalls including: 1) you have to provide everything. I knew this going in so was fine with that. Be prepared to do some work as it really is a blank canvas. I loved that because it allowed me to create the wedding of my dreams but again, it is a LOT of work.
2) there was construction with an unattractive green gate and new lifeguard tower right next to the ceremony area. It was definitely an eyesore when I saw it for the first time a couple of weeks before the wedding. Not sure how long construction will be going on but definitely should check out before reserving. It ended up working out for the best though, as we put beautiful draping by the gate, which we wouldn’t have thought of before.
3) It has a very intimate and romantic feel but expect people to peek in. Everyone was very respectful and didn’t interrupt the ceremony but with it being a holiday weekend, the park next to the venue was pretty busy so we had a few people taking photos as we got married. Again though, everyone was very respectful and actually made the me feel like a rock star the whole day. The applause after we were pronounced married was thunderous because of the added onlookers.
4) The weather — we planned for it to be colder at night because it is by the water so we got a few extra heaters for outside and blankets for guests. California being unpredictable, it was a gorgeous (and even hot) day. We ended up not needing the heaters but definitely glad we had them.

All in all, this is an AMAZING venue with spectacular views and really romantic but casual vibe. You can really tailor this venue to be what you want with a little extra work. We had everything we wanted including a food truck (Mangia Mangia) which was a hit. So many venues will require you to use their vendors and catering and that is the best part about the club is you can use whoever you want and keep costs the way you need them to be. If you want a place to add your special touches and not necessarily a hotel/ballroom feel, this is the place for you. The photos are to die for and I can’t thank Tom enough for helping to make our wedding day beyond our wildest dreams.”
