Debbie and Sean met for the first time through their mutual friends at The Tap Room in Pacific Beach. The first night Sean was of course too shy to talk to Debbie… It wasn’t until the second time that they met at a brunch that Debbie unknowingly found the way to Sean’s heart. From there, a friendship began to blossom that eventually turned into something more. Debbie loves the fact that Sean is her best friend, how he can be silly even when she’s all business, how Sean’s able to slow Debbie down since he’s more laid back than her, and how he loves her dogs 🙂 Sean loves Debbie’s sense of humor, the fact that she lets me make fun of her, her beautiful smile, and that she knows what she wants and is not indecisive!! They picked Manchester Grand Hyatt to host their big day because they wanted their venue to say “San Diego” since the majority of their guests are coming in from out of town. The view on the 32nd floor of the Hyatt is unbelievable and will be a treat for everyone!  The venue itself is also very elegant.

We thoroughly loved working at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Here’s what someone else thought:

“The name says it all! This hotel is quite Grand! It’s immediately evident as soon as you walk into the lobby.  The Lobby was beautifully decorated with Christmas Trees from varying artists and the immense high ceilings caught our attention. We stayed for 3 nights the week before Christmas. We had a wedding party discount as we were in San Diego to attend my cousin’s wedding.  The service has been excellent throughout our stay from the check-in process to the room service to the restaurant staff.

During the online checkout process, there is an “additional request” field and I requested a room with a view of the water and my request was honored.  My brother, as a joke, put down he would like a framed 8 x 10 smiling picture of Margot Robbie on the bed.  Well, the staff also honored his request! I can’t believe they would actually do that!!  Now that’s what you call service!!!  My Beau had contacted the hotel laundry service to have his suit pressed. The staff didn’t hesitate as the person on the phone said she’ll be right up to our room. We waited about 5 minutes. She quickly picked up his suit and shirt. She then brought the suit back that same night. It was wrapped in dry cleaning plastic and was nicely pressed. The cost of this service was not any more than you would pay elsewhere.

The rooms were clean and decent. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed the big window in the room overlooking the water. We had also ordered room service for breakfast one morning. The person who brought our food to our room had set up everything nicely on the table.

We wanted to go to the higher floors where the suites are located. One of my cousins was having a birthday party in her suite. Our card key wouldn’t let us up on the 31st floor. We inquired about it at the front desk. One call to my cousin and we were immediately given a key. Again, excellent service!  

We had gone to the Top of the Rooftop bar twice and the person who waited on us remembered us the 2nd day and remembered our drink order. We also went to Redfield’s, which is a Sports Bar to grab a few drinks and received excellent service there as well. We ate a buffet breakfast at their Seaview Restaurant and ordered bottomless mimosas.  Our water glasses as well as our mimosas were never empty. Our server also had a great sense of humor.

Since it was the holidays, the staff had a Gingerbread House contest at the lobby. Patrons get to put in their vote for their favorite. There were staff standing around and they were happy to answer my questions regarding which department built the gingerbread houses. That was fun!

The hotel has an adult only pool on the 3rd floor with a hot tub. There’s a family pool on the 4th floor with a hot tub and a faux grass area where there is a ping pong table, foosball table, and several Cornhole boards. We didn’t get to use the pool but we did play several rounds of ping pong and foosball. I won of course! *grin*  The gym has loads of weights and cardio equipment!  There is also an attendant at the gym who was cleaning and folding towels at the time. The gym was quite impressive for a hotel gym.

This hotel’s location was perfect as it was within walking distance to almost everything you want to see in the area. The only thing we had an issue with was parking but it was no fault of the hotel’s. One night we had to park on the roof top of the parking structure, which is the 6th floor because parking was packed. There was a Raiders game against San Diego that weekend. Fans were coming in from everywhere!  

I would definitely stay at this hotel again! The excellent professionalism of their staff will keep me coming back.”
