Jamie and Trent met while both working on the same sales team at a liquor distributor for several months, and at a company outing to a baseball game Jamie found out Trent was leaving the company, she promptly asked him if he wanted to go out the next weekend. He said yes and after an awkward lunch date the rest was history! Way to go Jamie! After dating for sometime Jamie and Trent purchased a house together, and the morning they closed escrow they headed over to start moving in. As Jamie walked in the door there was a moving box next to the kitchen island with a bottle of champagne. Inside the box were dozens of roses with the ring box on top! Trent got down on one knee and asked Jamie to marry him there in the middle of their empty new house! They popped the champagne then started unpacking! They enjoy traveling together, and spending a lot of winter weekends skiing in the mountains! They also love spending time with their friends and family. They picked the Coronado Island Marriott to host their big day because they both really wanted a destination wedding somewhere by the ocean. San Diego has always been a special place for Jamie, because her mom’s side of the family is from there, and she spent a lot of time in Coronado growing up when her mom was based there with the Navy. It is Trent and Jamie’s favorite go to travel destination – they can never have enough beach time and tacos! The Marriott had the perfect California beachy feel, and with the city across the bay, it also brought in the sleek city vibe that they love.

We loved working at the beautiful Marriott Coronado Island! Here is what another bride thought!!
“My daughter got married here on July 1, 2017. It was the most amazing venue for a wedding. The food was absolutely delicious and we received many compliments. She got married facing the San Diego skyline and the reception was held in a beautiful tent with a view of the skyline and Coronado Bridge. The service was exceptional, from the cocktail servers to the event planner. Indira was our event planner from The Marriott. She ensured we got upgraded hotel rooms(villas) with refrigerators, dishwashers in mini kitchens, patios with gorgeous views. Indira was present for much of the event, along with our wedding planner. There was much communication with her along the way to make sure everything ran smoothly. There were no hiccups and many guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended! I will definitely stay here again!”
