Alan and Paul met Halloween weekend at a bar in Minneapolis. Alan is a huge Michigan football fan and was in town for the Michigan vs. Minnesota game. Paul was out with friends and started talking with Alan. They exchanged numbers and met up at a bar the following night after the football game.  Alan asked me to lunch the following afternoon before he left.  There was a connection immediately and they started dating long distance. Paul loves how patient and kind Alan is no matter what his day was like. He is always happy to come home and always in a mood to laugh. Alan is constantly thinking of others and willing to assist friends and family without question.  His actions have pushed Paul into being a more thoughtful and kind person over the years. Paul is Alan’s rock and with him, Alan now has the life he’s always wanted. Paul is quick smile, incredible kindness and warmth has made Alan a better person. Alan loves how welcoming Paul has been to their friends and family.  Alan’s 93 year old mother stays with them for months at a time and the patience and love Paul shows her is boundless. These two make my heart sing. We LOVED working with them both. Their love is a shining light. We all need a little of what they have!
