Kim and Ferdinand mer on a dating app, Coffee meets Bagel! That’s a cute name and a new one for us 🙂 They soon found out that they both enjoy similar things like traveling, doing outdoorsy things (hiking, camping), trying new foods/restaurants and hanging out with family or friends. Ferdinand knew that Kim was his forever lady!! He proposed to Kim while on a trip to Paris. Ferdinand surprised Kim with a picnic proposal that had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Ferdinand had arranged with a picnic company to set up the picnic and surprised Kim with photographer that captured the whole thing. She of course said “yes” and the planning for their big day started!

We loved shooting at the beautiful Twin Oaks, here is what another bride thought!
“Ever since I was a young child, I have always been fascinated with gardens and anything rustic and or vintage.
As I started planning my wedding I knew I had to begin by searching for the perfect garden venue, and living in Southern California there are many to choose from.
As my fiancé and I looked at the different options, I discovered Twin Oaks House & Garden Estate. It was our first trip to the San Diego area to scout locations, and Twin Oaks just happened to be our first stop. As soon as we got out of the car the magic was felt immediately the place radiated with grace & beauty. I was completely taken by the vision of my own wedding at this gorgeous venue. In an instant I knew that this was the one and there was no need to look anywhere else for my dreamy & fairytale “Gatsby In The Garden” wedding. The historic schoolhouse was preserved with just the right amounts of vintage and added elements of Victorian, Baroque and English Garden. It’s so beautiful from every different angle. It has great photo-op areas such as the green house, the garden arch, the fountain, the Bridal Suite, the gazebo plus an awesome bar that reminds me of an old-western saloon. I am completely in love with this place!
The staff is top-notch too. Right after walking into the main part of the property we were greeted by Kelsey Carlin (who eventually became our personal on-site lead wedding coordinator). She was friendly, energetic, informative, professional, and super positively fun!! I want to highlight that Kelsey did a SUPERB job! She is an asset to the company and was a cornerstone in the success of our wedding, it’s planning, the organizing and managing the day-of events. She was with us from the very beginning and she was just as wonderful as the venue itself. On the drive home we locked-down a date and it’s been one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning process.
From start to finish Kelsey and the rest of the on-site staff did a phenomenal job. We had a few minor problems a few days before our wedding date, but Kelsey expertly communicated our needs to upper management and we were able to find a perfect solution that worked. After all, solving problems when they happen and still keeping clients happy is the mark of a great company.
Twin Oaks is truly a magical place from it’s old vintage beauty to the energy it radiates. The whole staff including Kelsey, Donna, Alexis, Marina, Jeff as well as the chef, the food and all of the day-of staff were fantastic. It was truly and completely my “Happily Ever After”!
I would, without hesitation, recommend this place to anyone who values the beauty of the past, wonderful layers and details, complete professionalism and all things romantic and full of love.”
