Taylor and Emily met at a bar in Tucson, AZ while spending time with their mutual friends over Winter Break. Taylor struck up a conversation with Emily and they realized that they had quite a few mutual friends and interests. These two talked all night long and Taylor ended up staying in Tucson for another two weeks so they could spend time together! That is so sweet!! I love that he did that for Emily. Needless to say, these two hit it off and started dating! For Taylor Emily was the one… he proposed by taking Emily to a nice dinner in Chicago on the River Walk under the guise of having dinner with a friend for his birthday. After dinner they took a walk down the river and stopped in front of a boat to take a photo. The boat captain asked if he could take a photo for them and they agreed. Taylor responded by asking “Can we take a photo on your boat?” Emily was very weary of getting a strangers boat, but Taylor told her to “live a little,” so she proceeded. Once a few photos were taken, Taylor dropped to one knee and proposed. He began his proposal by saying “Let’s make a plan, 10 years from now let’s sit down for dinner with our kids and tell them about the time that I proposed to you…” Emily of course said “yes” to their ten year plan and these two were engaged. They picked the Coronado Yacht club to host their big day because Emily grew up going to Coronado with her family every summer. It has been a very special place for her over the years and the Coronado Cays Yacht Club captured the love she has for this beautiful city.
