Alessandra and Ryan met 10 years ago through mutual friends! They really enjoyed meeting each other and wanted to hand out more!!! Once they started dating and getting to know each other they found that they both liked to play VERY competitive mini-golf, discovering and playing video games together, cooking and baking and playing board games! They also love watching TV together (ranging from PBS docuseries to trashy reality TV.) Alessandra also noticed some qualities that Ryan has that made her feel like “yes, this is the man I love” Ryan is compassionate, loving and hilarious. Ryan understands Alessandra in a way that makes her feel un-judged and loved unconditionally. Ryan is always kind and respectful, and he always tries, even when it is hard. Ryan was also feeling the “love vibes” he loves that Alessandra understands him like she does, and she always makes Ryan feel comfortable to share his feelings. After 10 years of dating they designed the engagement ring together, so Alessandra knew it was coming. Ryan proceeded to “fake-out” proposing, by taking Alessandra to nice dinners, tying his shoelaces on romantic walks, etc. Then, while they were in a rush to leave their home, Alessandra ran by the door to their bedroom to find Ryan on one knee. Apparently, according to certain sources (Ryan), Alessandra bawled and said “Are you f**king serious” before gladly accepting. I love that!! Sounds like the perfect thing to say!! These two picked Birch Aquarium to host their big day, of a bunch of reasons!! Ryan studied marine biology in college and has such a passion for it, and Alessandra grew up going to the aquarium with her family every time they were in San Diego. The Birch Aquarium is a venue that promotes conservation, which they love and want to support, and allows their guests to learn and tour the entire place for the evening, making it extra special. It doesn’t hurt that it is gorgeous and the view of the coast are awe-inspiring.
