Paul and Christie really bring out the best in each other, their personalities are so different, but the compliment each other in every way. One of Christie and Paul’s favorite things to do is spend time with their dogs. Sadly, right before their wedding their dog, Butterscotch, passed away. These are words from Christie: “Paul really took care of her- and in doing so me as well. I had her for 12 years (since she was 7 weeks old) and Paul had never had his own dog- until he met Butterscotch. She had survived cancer by the time Paul and I had met but she had lost a leg so he never knew how athletic or rambunctious she was. Paul used to carry her outside, multiple times a day when her remaining 3 legs started giving out, and he shared cooking responsibilities for her with me. Paul doesn’t cook, but he did for her. He even invented a homemade oatmeal cookie recipe that was in line with her special diet and would bake for her!! When she passed, it hurt him as much as me. But her feelings for him were mutual and I believe she waited to know I was safe and had found him before starting to let go.” We at ABM are huge animal lovers and were touched hearing this! RIP Butterscotch!
